CTE Programs and Pathways

Career Technical Education (CTE)
At Roosevelt High School, our Career Technical Education (CTE) program opens doors for students to explore careers, build skills, and prepare for the future. We offer two specialized pathways - Roosevelt Pathways of Medicine, for students interested in health sciences and medical professions, and Roosevelt Public Service Pathway, designed for those pursuing careers in law, government, and community service. In addition, students can also gain hands-on experience through programs such as the Roosevelt Teacher Academy.

Roosevelt also offers other opportunities for students to participate in CTE courses and pathways, including Video Production, Digital Photography, Fashion Design and General Internship. These opportunities give students practical skills, industry insight, and real-world experiences that prepare them for success in college, career, and beyond.

Arts, Media and Entertainment

Through Video Production and Digital Photography courses, students explore broadcast and cinematography, working with the latest industry equipment have the opportunity to apply their techniques at competitions and gain Adobe certification.

Fashion Design

Students gain experience on fashion styles and function, and learn to design, cut, and sew their own clothing. By their senior year, students design, plan, and organize an entire show by themselves.

General Internship

The General Internship course is designed to give students an opportunity to participate in paid and unpaid internships during the school day. Students earn up to 20 elective credits for successful completion of the course and learn valuable employability skills with a designated teacher, along with industry-specific experience while working with industry professionals at work sites.
