Roosevelt Pathways in Medicine (RPM) is a four-year program for students with an interest in the Health Careers field.  With the help of our business partner, Community Medical Centers, we provide opportunities for students to experience the real world of health care at the only Trauma One Level Hospital in the San Joaquin Valley.  We demand high standards of attendance, performance, and responsibility from our students – and in return we show them the unlimited potential they each possess.

Why Join the Roosevelt Health Pathway?

Large urban high schools present a challenge to both students and parents.  You want to meet lots of new friends but you don’t want to get lost in the crowd. Research and experience has shown that the Academy model – a school within a school tied to a career technical education (CTE) theme – gives our students the best chance for success in high school and after high school.

Roosevelt Pathway of Medicine students that have completed all four years of our program have a combined 99.7% graduation rate over the last eleven years.  They also have regularly achieved attendance rates over 98.7%. All of our seniors who complete the requirements of the program apply, and are accepted, to either a CSU or UC College!

Get hospital experience!  The best place to learn about what goes on in a busy, urban hospital is… IN THE HOSPITAL!  Our Academy believes in getting our students ready for work as soon as possible.  Volunteer at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and have the opportunity to receive college credit from Fresno City College.  

If hospital life isn’t your thing, try out your skills with Sports Medicine and work with athletes on and off the field.

Academic Plan

Academy students take academic core classes together by grade level.  They bond quickly and form lasting friendships and loyalties that help them throughout high school  We are a family at school and we support one another through good times and bad.  Academy tutorials are available after school for difficult classes or for students needing extra assistance.
