Library Hours: 
7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.  Monday – Friday

What We Can Do For You

Provide you:

  • help finding books, e-books, articles, and reference materials, both online and print, for school assignments, reports, and research papers.
  • help finding books, magazines and other resources for recreational reading and enjoyment.
  • access to computers for school projects and assignments.
  • instruction on searching the Internet, databases, library catalog, as well as computer applications such as Word and PowerPoint.
  • assistance throughout the research process.
  • a place to read study and complete assignments; a place that is open before school, during lunch and after school until 6:00 pm Monday-Friday.

What You Can Do For Us

Follow the Roosevelt Library rules:

  • You must have a current student ID for check-out
  • Work on homework, reading, research and/or browsing
  • Be considerate of others
  • No hats, hoods, or sunglasses
  • No unauthorized electronic devices
  • No food or drink
  • Help keep library clean by cleaning after yourself
  • If visiting library during class, or open periods, be prepared to show a pass and/or open period sticker
  • ALL school rules apply in the library!

Circulation

BOOKS:
Available to be checked out for TWO WEEKS at a time. If you need more time; you may renew a book twice. You may check out four (4) books at a time

E-BOOKS:
Check out requires the Follett Enlight App available from Apple and Google Play. Use your computer login username and password. When prompted enter the following site ID (wbb34332).

TEXTBOOKS:
Checked out for the entire school year and/or semester and are due back the last two weeks of school.

CLASS NOVELS:
Checked out for 90 days

COMPUTERS, TABLETS & E-READERS:
If available, may be checked to use in the library only.

MAGAZINES:
May be checked out overnight or over the weekend. Magazines may be renewed once. You may check out four at a time.

ENCYCLOPEDIAS (and some other references):
Books may be checked out overnight – look for reference books that have an “Overnight Book” sticker either on the spine or inside the back cover. You may check out two reference books at a time.

Lost Books And Materials

Report lost materials as soon as possible.  If the book/material is not found or is returned damaged beyond repair, the replacement cost will be charged to your account.  The replacement cost may equal the cost to purchase the book/material.

Printing And Copying

Printing and access to copier is available for students. Black & White copies are free. Color printing costs $0.50 per page.

Lost And Found

The library receives lost and found items, including textbooks.  Check with us if you have lost or found clothes, books, backpack etc. 

Book Club ( Ex-Libris)

Love books, great stories, and friends?  Consider joining the RHS Book club, Ex-Libris.  It meets in the library during lunch every Friday.  Come check it out!

Library Instruction (Class Elective)

If you are interested in elective credit and working in the library, then consider taking Library Instruction.  You will assist students at the check-out desk, process materials, and do research.  See your counselor if you are interested in helping out in the library.
