Monday – Friday,  8:00 am – 3:30 pm

(Hours vary depending on school nurse commitments)

The health office at Roosevelt High School is here to provide a variety of services to our students and their families.  The health office is staffed 5 days a week with both a School Nurse – an R.N., (who holds a Credential and a Master’s Degree) and a Health Assistant who is a highly trained, experienced provider in skills such as first aid, CPR, and health office management.

The health office offers vision and hearing screening, medical, dental, immunization and communicable disease screening and management.  We work with physicians and care providers in the community to connect our families to the health care they need.

The health office can also administer any medications at school that your child requires, as well as manage diabetes and seizure care for those students who require it.  (For student safety, please do not send your child to school with medications.  Per education code, the only medications a student may carry and self-administer is an asthma inhaler, or an emergency epi-pen, and in those cases we must have a “mediation at school ” form completed by your doctor.)

We provide health education to our students on a variety of topics, for example; cold/flu, asthma, diabetes, nutrition, and communicable disease.  We work along with our on campus PACE program to assist with the management of our pregnant students to remain in school and achieve graduation.

Please feel free to contact the nurse’s office at 253-5246 for further information.
