  • Principal’s Message

This is my 9th year as principal of Theodore Roosevelt High School, and my 14th year on this beautiful campus working alongside our wonderful Rough Rider staff, students, and families. Prior to having the opportunity to work as a Rough Rider, I married into the Roosevelt family – my wife, a teacher in Fresno Unified School District, is an alumna. 😊

At Roosevelt High School, our teachers and staff work hard to ensure that we provide a positive and inclusive environment, where our students benefit from rigorous, standards-based learning and a wide range of opportunities for growth and success.  We hope to build a strong partnership with our parents and families, so together we can help our students reach their educational potential by developing in our Schoolwide Learner Outcomes (SLOs):  Skilled Communicator & Collaborator, Productive & Resilient Problem Solver, Self-Directed & Adaptable Learner, Proactive & Respectful Community Participant, and Responsible & Resourceful Digital User.  Building these skills is important for students to be successful beyond high school, and they are a focus of our teaching in every classroom, every day at Roosevelt, regardless of the subject area content.

All of the wonderful people involved in our school, including staff, students, and families, make every day a great day to be a Rough Rider!

Charge on, Riders!
